Parallel Operations
After you have defined the shapes you will use in your program, and
declared parallel variables with these shape attributes,
there are several ways you can use parallel variables in parallel
operations to perform your calculations:
- Simple statements -- arithmetic operations on
parallel variables.
- Reductions -- reducing a parallel variable to
one scalar quantity; for example, summing all the elements.
- Context -- set conditions on what parts of
parallel variables will be computed.
- Sliced expressions -- using sections of
parallel variables.
